Routine Appointments

blue_calendar_2011.jpgAll surgery consultations are by appointment and should be made at Reception or by telephoning during normal surgery hours.

Doctors Appointments

We offer a mixture of pre-bookable and book on the day only slots.  We also offer telephone consultations – please ask the receptionist when you make an appointment and ensure that we have the correct contact telephone number. Telephone consultations can be much quicker than coming to the surgery, especially if you only need advice. We have two phone lines to handle calls at busy times. Pre-bookable appointments can be booked up to four weeks in advance.

Practice Nurse/Phlebotomy Appointments

All appointments are pre-bookable for at least two months ahead.

What you can do

If you cannot attend for your appointment, please notify us as we can then offer this appointment to another patient.  Children under 14 should be accompanied by an adult except where not possible. However we will always try to help a child and will see them without an adult if needed.

Children under 16 attending for vaccination have to be accompanied by an adult. If more than one member of your family wishes to be seen by the Doctor, please make a separate appointment for each of them.

If the problem is an emergency, needing a Doctor straight away, please make this completely clear to the Receptionist.  In some circumstances (collapse, unconsciousness), you may be wise to telephone the ambulance service ( 999) at the same time.
